How It Started

We lost him in 2022. Our kitten. Here one day, gone the next. There's a kind of grief that doesn't want comfort — it wants purpose. So we went back to the shelter that brought him into our lives and showed up with what we had: food, supplies, and a broken heart that needed somewhere to go.

That was Drop Zero. Before the name. Before the movement. Just a bag of food and the only thing that felt right.

We kept showing up. And the more we showed up, the more we saw: rescues carrying the weight every day. Underfunded. Understaffed. Doing the hard, quiet work for animals that deserve a chance. That need drove us. Still does.

After three years of showing up, we gave it a name in 2025. The Good Pawject. Built from loss. Built from love. Built to move.
